IMReady Launches Groundbreaking CPT & PSP Training Program for Security Officers in Education Sector

Summer 2025 — IMReady is proud to announce the launch of a first-of-its-kind continuing professional training (CPT) and perishable skills program (PSP) tailored specifically for school security officers working in the California education sector. Modeled after California POST and Bureau of Security Investigative Services (BSIS) training, this highly specialized suite is designed to build upon SB-390 and directly address high-risk tasks that often result in workers' compensation claims and district liability.
This program delivers practical, scenario-based instruction enhancing training and experience while also fostering a safe, secure and peaceful environment.
The Existing Training Gap
California law requires school security officers to obtain a SB-390 certification covering general responsibilities, but it does not mandate further training in high-risk areas likely to result in workplace injuries or district liability. Additionally, it does not specifically address critical district policies that guide officers in the performance of their duties on campus.
